You can use the sample schedule or create your own. Include meetings with department members, other units, scheduled meetings, etc.

Your new employee will meet with SA HR during their first week. SA HR will review the Student Affairs Employee Handbook, answer benefits questions, review systems such as LMS, Kronos and Positive Time Reporting and give an overview of Student Affairs and the various units.

Provide a tour of the facility and any pertinent locations regularly utilized by the new employee. Make sure to include restrooms, break rooms, points of entrance/exit, bulletin boards, recycling, mail room, elevators/stairs, vending machines/places to eat, etc.
intro
Introduce the new employee to their team as well as others they will interact with regularly. Schedule meetings during the first week as part of the Week 1 Schedule as well as more casual introductions.

Discuss with the new employee the following:
- Schedules
- How to notify you of tardiness and absences
- Time keeping (if using Kronos)
- Safety-what to do in case of an emergency
- Keys
- Building and Department Hours

Discuss with the new employee the following:
- Job Description-Employee and Manager should sign and submit to SA HR.
- Probationary Period (if Civil Service)
Tech
Ensure your new employee has the access they need to systems they will be using. Also, will they need access to other systems such as iBuy, TEM, etc. in the future. If so, make the requests for access as soon as possible.
